W. Thomas McCuiston
W. Thomas “Tom” McCuiston heads McCuiston Law Offices PLLC; the firm’s practice areas are estate planning, corporate law, and tax representation. McCuiston is a Board Certified Estate Planning Specialist, as well as a Certified Public Accountant, and he has applied his training in law and accounting to building the firm’s standing as estate planning experts.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accounting degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, McCuiston began his professional career in the Los Angeles office of the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, focusing on tax planning, tax compliance and IRS representation. A Raleigh native, McCuiston returned to North Carolina to pursue his J.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill, after which he worked for a private law firm in Cary before establishing McCuiston Law Offices in 2001.
McCuiston is a National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) Fellow, and lectures frequently on tax, estate planning and corporate tax issues. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Apex Chamber of Commerce, the NC Society of Enrolled Agents, and the NCACPA Foundation.
